Fired for no reason

When I applied for this job, I was very honest about my past. After a legnthy background and work history check, I was hired so I halted my pursuit of other positions. After five weeks of work, my supervisor advised me that I was to be terminated because of gaps in my work history. She agreed that my work performance was excellent. I was never late and never called in sick. On my termination papers, my work performance was described as "excellent." My boss blamed the main office for making this decission (I believe her). They knew my work history before I was offered the position but because I was in the probationary periods, I was released. Is this a case of wrongful termination and do I have ecourse.
